Eintracht Frankfurt
About Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt's Europa League triumph in 2022 announced the club's fans to the world, but anyone who had visited Deutsche Bank Park already knew. The Waldkurve (forest end) standing section holds over 12,000 fans and generates one of the most intense atmospheres in Germany, especially on European nights when the choreography is spectacular.
Frankfurt is the transport hub of Germany. Frankfurt Hbf is the busiest rail station in the country, and virtually every ICE route passes through it. This makes the city an ideal starting point or midpoint for any multi-city football trip. Mainz (25 min), Darmstadt (25 min), Wiesbaden (35 min), and Mannheim (40 min) are all within easy reach.
The city itself offers a compelling mix of skyscraper skyline (the "Mainhattan" financial district), traditional Apfelwein taverns in Sachsenhausen, and lively riverside bars along the Main. A weekend in Frankfurt combining an Eintracht match with a day trip to Mainz 05 is one of the best short football breaks in Germany.
