Hamburger SV
About Hamburger SV
Hamburger SV are one of Germany's founding football institutions, a club with European Cup pedigree, a 57,000-capacity stadium, and a fanbase that has maintained elite-level support through years in the 2. Bundesliga. The Volksparkstadion's Nordtribüne is the home of HSV's organised support, and the atmosphere on derby days and promotion-race fixtures is electric.
The Volksparkstadion is located in the Stellingen district, accessible by S-Bahn from Hamburg Hbf in about 25 minutes. The stadium complex includes extensive parking and fan zones, and the surrounding area fills with HSV supporters hours before kick-off.
Hamburg is Germany's second-largest city and one of its most rewarding for visitors. The Speicherstadt warehouse district (UNESCO), Elbphilharmonie concert hall, Reeperbahn nightlife, and the harbour give you more than enough for a long weekend. With St. Pauli's Millerntor just across the city, Hamburg is one of the few places where you can watch two completely different football cultures in a single weekend.
